Wollaston - May 2014
The Solway Federation (98/1620) was down at Wollaston on Monday 26th May. Liberated at 08:30 into a South South wind, the birds made short work of it and homed with velocities into the 1600s. This week Dumfries Flying Club made the best of it and had six birds in the leading 10. The Federation winner was timed by Krause & Charteris with a velocity of 1702, and the partners timed another two to take 3rd & 4th Open on 1682 & 1678. Mr & Mrs K Gunther & Grandson take 2nd spot on 1692. Keeping with the West Section Jim Seaton was 5th open on 1664 and Albert Hay 6th doing 1657. The East Section of the Fed went to R V Graham of Langholm he timed thee good birds to take 1st, 2nd and 10th on velocities of 1674, 1666 & 1644. Gordon Grant & Son has five birds in the Section taking 3rd, 5th, 6th, 8th and 9th doing 1656, 1654, 1653, 1652 & 1647. Great stuff Gordon, I think that’s a fifth club 1st from 6 races. The other two in the Section are D Nordon 4th on 1654 and A Henderson 7th doing 1652, both from Langholm.

Gordon Grant & Son does it again, they timed the leading six birds with velocities of 1656 to 1606. Great stuff!
Hoddam F. C. 8/148
A great win here for young John Little, he timed his Champion Hen (Little Miss Darci) to take 1st Club on a velocity of 1644. This Hen has won quite a lot in Club and S.N.F.C. races, and with an 07 ring on her leg she’s still winning, Well done John. Having a good race also is G Dalgliesh & Son, they take 2nd & 3rd Club on 1625& 1618 and had six birds in the first ten. Mr & Mrs J Graham take 4th Club on 1616.
Lockerbie H.C. 6/95
A good race for Kenny Thomson he takes 1st, 3rd & 4th on 1597, 1573 & 1572. Ewan Hind takes 2nd on 1592.
Eastriggs F.C. 14/239
Well done to McMorrin Bros, they won with a velocity of 1616, followed by C Halbert & Son on 1603. Third prize went to C. Beattie doing 1603 and 4th went to G Turnbull on 1594.
Brydekirk H.C. 8/210
Another good win for S J Irving Jnr (Loft 1), he takes 1st & 2nd Club on 1579 & 1575. R.J.B. Renwick takes 3rd on 1574 and S J Irving Jnr has the next five from Loft 1. Well done.
Annan H.C. 15/216
It’s that man again A. Simmons, he times to take 1st, 2nd & 3rd doing 1586,1584 & 1581, I think this must be 6 wins from 7 races. GW Campbell takes 3rd on 1583.
Langholm F.C. 4/119
1st & 2nd goes to R V Graham the velocities being 1674 & 1666. D Nordon is 3rd on 1654 and A Henderson 4th on 1652.
Annan Premier.
Annan Premier were down at Marlbrough on Sunday 25th May. Taking 1st, 2nd & 3rd is the Loft of R & M Seaton, they timed with god velocities of 1526, 1483 & 1397 followed by Mr & Mrs C Little on 1331.

Dalbeattie
Ingleton Race.
Kevin Goodman times a two year old Blue Pied Cock that was purchased at a young bird sale bred by Mossop & Moore in Cumbria. To win this one his velocity was 1517. C Milligan is 2nd on 1492 and 3rd & 4th to McCulloch and Son doing 1488 & 1475.
Charnock Race.
Carl Milligan had a good race here by timing three Hens in the first four, he takes 1st, 3rd & 4th on 1099, 1090.9 and 1090.8. K Goodman takes 2nd on 1090.6 with last weeks winner.
Lymm Race.
Carl Milligan makes it three wins from four races with a Yearling Roundabout Hen on a velocity of 993, he also took 3rd spot doing 972. N Black takes 2nd & 4th.
Stafford Race.
A good win here for McCulloch & Son, they timed a yearling Cheq Hen flying Widowhood to have a good lead of 1334. Her Sire is a Jan Arden from Steve Wright, the Dam is a DE Weerdt from Andy Gregson. 2nd place goes to W Anderson on 1187. C Milligan was 3rd on 1182 and McCulloch & Son again in 4th spot doing 1181.
