BURTON & SOUTH DERBYSHIRE FEDERATION.
Great day for Dave Waddington out of Yeovil (4).
Saturday July 6th saw 59 members send 892 birds to Yeovil (4), as expected Alys had to play the waiting the game as there was cloud and rain especially around the South Midlands all morning and in the early afternoon. Alys eventually got a clear line of flight and cut the strings at 2-50 and the birds were away into a fresh West wind. It turned out to be a very good race with great returns.
Congratulations to Dave Waddington of the Osmaston Park club in Derby; he rolled back the years taking 1st; 2nd; 4th ; and 5th fed on 1631; 1628; 1622; 1621; the fed topper a yearling blue cock is bred out of birds off Alan Brassington of Stretton; this blue cock has now won 2 x 1st club this season.

Just need to correct the details on Debbie Fearn’s winners out of Hullavington and Frome the 2 previous weeks. The Hullavington winner is out of the line bred “Hideaway” x Honeysuckle Jansenne cock when paired to a Tony & Lee Painter x Sweetie hen; and the Frome winner is out of the same cock that bred the Hullavington winner when paired to Debbie’s top Stefaan Lambrecht hen; sorry about that.
Over at Hill Ridware, 4 sent 84 and a very good performance in the fresh west wind by their birds; the top 15 in the result all doing over 1600ypm.
