The Solway Federation 101/2001 was down at Ingleton on Saturday 26th April. Liberated at 11.45am into a strong East-South-East wind the birds romped home with velocities well into the 1800s. Lockerbie had the best of timing’s with D Cockcroft timing his three-year old Chequer Cock to take 1st Club, 1st East Section and 1st Open on a velocity of 1860 followed by Club mate Kenny Thomson taking 2nd Club, 2nd Open and 2nd Section doing 1859. Gordon Grant & Son of Springfield take 3rd Open, 3rd Section and 1st Club with a velocity of 1854. Kenny Thomson comes in again to take 3rd Club, 4th Open and 4th Section on 1848. That took care of the East Section! The West went to Kraues & Charteris who take 1st Section doing 1824. Mr & Mrs Karl Gunther & Grandson are 2nd and 4th West followed by J Brown 3rd Section on 1795.

Springfield H.C. 7/27
Winning their second race of the season is G Grant & Son; they take 1st and 3rd Club on velocities of 1854 and 1819.
Mr & Mrs G Power take 2nd and 4th doing 1829 and 1818.
Hoddam F.C. 8/192
Jimmy Dalgliesh takes 1st and 2nd this week, his two birds recording velocities of 1812 and 1792. Les Smith & Son are 3rd doing 1754 and Mr & Mrs J Graham are 4th on 1741.
Annan H.C. 15/322
Well done here to A Simmons who timed the leading three birds into the Club on 1800, 1739 and 1735. W Borthwick is 4th doing 1698.
Annan Premier
Were at Stafford on Saturday 26th April. The winner here was timed by S J Irving (Loft 2) with a velocity of 1868.
Mr & Mrs R & M Seaton take the next three doing 1827, 1803 and 1797.
Lockerbie H.C. 7/108
Well done to D Cockcroft who timed his two-year old Chequer Cock recording a velocity of 1860. This fancier has only been racing for three years and this is his first Club win but not only was he 1st Club he’s also topped the Federation from an entry of 2001 birds, well done!
Kenny Thomson takes 2nd and 3rd spots with velocities of 1859 and 1848.
Eastriggs H.C. 14/325
Having a good race here is Jim Ferguson who timed the leading three birds into the Club doing 1788, 1772 and 1724.
Brydekirk H.C. 6/115
1st and 2nd Club goes to S J Irving with velocities of 1797 and 1786.
R J B Renwick has the next two on velocities of 1779 and 1744.
Langholm H.C. 5/65
It’s another win here for D Norton doing 1713, followed by
A Henderson with a velocity of 1693. R V Graham time’s next doing 1686 and A Henderson is 4th doing 1679.
I’ll give the 5th bird as it looks to be a new fancier, well done to K Braban.
Dumfries F.C. 16/283
Kraues & Charteris take the Red this week timing to take 1st Club, 1st West Section doing 1824. Mr & Mrs Karl Gunther and Grandson take 2nd and 4th on 1813 and 1793. J Brown has the 3rd spot with a velocity of 1795.
Nith Valley H.C. 12/215
Only two results from the Valley this week and the winner is G Russell doing 1793 followed by A Russell on 1789.
