NORTH LIVERPOOL FEDERATION

Hello fellow fanciers, our second race of the season was held from Hereford on Saturday 23rd April, a distance ranging from 87 miles to roughly 96 miles for the furthest flying members.

After a week of weather watching, it was continuously changing for better and for worse as the week progressed, with early morning mist forecasted and then bands of rain during the afternoon there was no certainty we would have a race.

A Misty start at Hereford

The morning at Hereford stated off just as predicted, misty with no sun, however at the home end it was a dull start, but the sun soon broke the clouds, and it was warming up nicely.

During the morning, numerous updates were shared with the members from the race controller and the early morning mist wasn’t going anywhere fast. A further update was shared late morning which read ‘looks promising’ accompanied by a photo showing the mist lifting and the sun breaking through, meanwhile last weeks fed winner, John Nixon was basking in his glory, catching a tan from the sun rays.
