The Solway Federation (69/1294) was down at Charnock Richard on Saturday 16th with a convoy of only 1294 birds, a drop of 1121 birds from the week before. This of course is due to the many losses we've suffered over the last few weeks.
They birds were liberated at 08.45am into a light West wind and the leading bird was timed in Springfield Club by Mr & Mrs Gus Power, their winner being a Belgian-rung Chec Cock, in fact they timed two Belgian-rung birds to take 1st and 2nd Club, 1st and 5th Open with his winner on a velocity of 1300 (Well done!).
The Federation top ten reads as follows;
Mr & Mrs Gus Power, Springfield, 1st and 5th.
R V Graham, Langholm, Ralston had five in the ten doing 1285, 1237.8, 1237.3, 1235 and 1234.
GA & L Firth, Lockerbie, 3rd and 4th on 1261 and 1257.
G Turnbell, Eastriggs, 8th doing 1237.
West Section
It's Mr & Mrs Karl Gunther & Grandson winning here and taking 1st, 8th and 10th on velocities of 1136, 1054 and 1046.
Taking five in the West section is Albert Hay who is 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th, his velocities being between 1135 to 1064.
Stanley Boyd is 6th Open on 1036 and R A Brown takes 8th doing 1046.
Club Results
Hoddam F.C. 7/133
1st Club here goes to G Dalgliesh & Son with a velocity of 1185, followed by Mr & Mrs J Graham taking 2nd and 3rd on 1178 and 1166.
G Dalgliesh & Son are in again to take 4th on 1164.
Springfield H.C. 6/92
Mr & Mrs Gus Power timed a very good bird here to win the Federation as well as 1st and 2nd Club on velocities of 1300 and 1254.
Raymond White takes 3rd on 1174 and it's Gordon Grant & Son taking 4th with a velocity of 1173.

Langholm H.C. 4/81
It's a clean sweep here for Ralston Graham taking the leading four with velocities of between 1255 to 1235..
Eastriggs H.C. 5/154
G Turnbull timed two good birds into Eastriggs to take 1st and 3rd Club with velocities of 1236 and 1178.
W Pirie is 2nd and 4th on 1202 and 1177.
Annan H.C. 9/165
It's a good win here for the lofts of W Borthwick who timed the leading two with velocities of 1135 and 1165.
A Simmons takes the 3rd position doing 1059 and the winner is in again taking 4th on 1049.
Brydekirk H.C. 6/197
Young Scot Irving does it once again to take the leading four on velocities between 1205 to 1171..
Lockerbie H.C. 9/135
There were three good birds into the Lockerbie lofts of GA & L Firth achieving 1st, 2nd and 3rd Club on velocities of 1261, 1257 and 1172.
Ewan Hind takes 4th on 1159.
Dumfries F.C. 10/135
Mr & Mrs Karl Gunther and Grandson leads the way here with a velocity of 1136, followed by Stanley Boyd on 1084. The winners are in again on 1054 and R & A Brown take the 4th spot doing 1046.
Nith Valley F.C. 11/157
Well done to young Albert Hay who timed the leading five into the Club with velocities of between 1135 to 1064.
