Jubilee Park April 16th.

Due to bad weather, forecast over most of England some feds. decided to put back basketing for 24 hours,but Hull S.R. federation went ahead as planned hoping to get a break in the weather conditions, but low cloud and rain persisted at the liberation point all day but had to concede defeat and wait for a Sunday lib.

On the Sunday morning after a very cold night the birds were liberated at 9 o'clock into clear skies and a fresh N.West wind.

Taking 1st. club and 8th. fed. vel. 1378 were the Colby x Baker partnership with a 2y.o. widowhood cheq. cock bred by Tommy Hembling off a bird gifted by Vanessa for stock.

2nd. club and 10th fed vel. 1375 was P. & J. Moody with a yearling blue hen which topped the fed. as a young bird.

3rd. club vel. 1371.79 were last weeks federation winners P.& C. Carmichael with a blue pied hen which had carded previously off Evans x Cuthbert lines also winning all pools.

 

4th. club vel. 1371.76 are Colby & Baker with a son of the famous "Schalie" dam "The 99" Van Rijn hen.
