Here we go again a new season upon us, the best of luck to everyone, may this be your year.

The birds were liberated at 10.25 into a moderate north westerly which turned out to be a testing race for some, leading the way in Hessle were last years club champions Pete and Carol Carmichael taking 1st. club vel. 1391 with their wonderful blue hen '611' who as previously won 4-1st's 4-2nd's and minor cards plus 1st. open YMRC. 2-4th's Hull federation and runner up in the Humberside trophy 2014 and 3rd in 2015, a Vandabeele Carrera bred by Dave Robinson from his own Humberside trophy family.2nd. club vel. 1383 and all pools was Barry Milburn with another great pigeon his blue Vandabeele cock winner of 3-1st's and 5 positions, bred from Alan Jones 'Shadow' lines.

In 3rd. and 4th. positions vels. 1380 and 1362 came Dave Chaffer carrying on from last seasons good young bird form with two Lambrecht's from Graham Antcliffe.

Reed 22nd. April.

12 members sent 378 birds.

Which were liberated at 10.35 into a light northerly wind and upping the ante from last week and not only winning 1st. club but also 1st. Hull federation vel. 1474 with a loverly yearling blue w/f hen another Lambrecht from Graham Antcliffe off Alun Jones Red Star stock.

2nd. club and 3rd. Hull federation vel. 1464 were P and J Moody with a yearling chequer cock a Cooreman bred by Bob Fenech one of a batch Pete bought in last year.

3rd. club vel. 1450 came Trevor Tasker with a yearling chequer cock an Andy Jacklin Herman Ceuster.

4th. club vel. 1443 was P and C Carmichael with a daughter of last week’s winner.
