Hessle and Dist FC Results and News.
Chelmsford April 30th.
A quick change of race venue resulted in Hull and Dist pigeon federation racing from Chelmsford instead of Bovingdon. Liberated at 9 o'clock into a light north westerly wind the birds made steady headway ending in a tight finish at Hessle FC.
Barry Milburn Chelmsford winner.
Barry (millie) Milburn came out on top to be 1st. club vel. 1349.6 with a 2yo chequer widowhood cock another Vandenabeele out of Alan Jones "Southpark Lofts" 7 - 1st. cock.Barry's second bird was 4th. club vel 1344 a 3yo chequer hen ,Just coming into form being a Sticker / Donkeres bred from a pair of pigeons bought as a gift for Barry's 70th. birthday, This hen won 3 times last year.
2nd. club vel. 1349.1 were Colby / Baker with the same cock which was 2nd. club last week winning all pools two weeks on the trot.Vanessa was also 3rd. club vel. 1347 with a 2yo widowhood not raced as a youngster but carded twice as a yearling mainly Buschaert lines.
