Saturday June 17th and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Fougeres for the second of their federation special races with the pigeons being liberated at 07-30 in a light east wind.
In Derby Premier taking the red card also third position was the Oakwood loft of Paul & Lynda Todd. Their winner was a yearling blue hen doing 1251 which was bought at the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation breeder buyer sale and was bred by Graham Evans Burton & South Derbyshire Federation secretary. Their second pigeon was a four year old cheq hen doing 1207.In second position was John Coote with a two year old blue cock doing 1231.L.D.S. Johnson were fourth with a two year old blue cock doing 1202.

The Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Blandford and the pigeons were liberated at 09-00 in a west North West wind.


Getting the first three pigeons into Derby and taking the first three positions in Osmaston Park Homing Society was Mick Stone. His winner was a yearling dk/cheq cock doing 1563 followed by a two year old blue cock doing 1561 then a two year old blue cock doing 1558. In fourth position was Dave Waddington with a two year old cheq cock doing 1551.

In Etwall & District Flying Club Tony & June Whitehurst came out on top with a yearling mealy cock doing 1547.Second & third positions went to Alan & Liz Houldsworth with a yearling blue cock doing 1522 and a three year old blue cock doing 1512.In fourth with a white hen doing 1505 was A. Peach & Son.


In the Brackens South Road Flying Club Paul & Lynda Todd made a clean sweep.Their winner was a yearling blue hen followed by a yearling blue cock both doing 1521.In third position was a was a yearling blue hen with a two year old mealy cock in fourth both doing 1520.


In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club John & Pamela Dowd took the red card also third position doing1567 & 1557 with R & M Duffield in second & fourth doing 1566 & 1550.
