Burton & South Derbyshire Federation.
D Nesbitt & Son’s win a close finish out of Yeovil (2).
Saturday July 4th saw 9 clubs enter 1530 birds for the second visit to Yeovil of 2020. Once again the weather forecast for the Saturday wasn’t brilliant, with plenty of cloud and showers, the Sunday was forecasted to be a brighter day, but with a very strong west wind. it was marking as normal, and the birds were liberated at 12-30 in a SW wind. here in burton it was full cloud cover, but visibility was very good, and the wind wasn’t as strong as forecasted. Ss with most of fed results this season, they look very easy on paper, but it doesn’t tell the whole story? returns were very gappy, but at the end of the day, returns weren’t too bad, although there were some good pigeons awol? there were reports too of birds back Sunday with hawk attack damage?
