The Antherian Family of Birds. Bernie Pollard of Ombersley tells me they were introduced from Belgium by Dave Wright of Kidderminster. No paperwork but the main lines were down from a bird called ‘Remie’. They come to their best when about 2 years old and will race well until 5 – 6 year old. The few that Bernie has stem from his mate Roger Woodhouse who purchased them from Phil Cooper of Kidderminster and a cock from the late Brian Edwards of Bewdley called ‘Dark 16’. For years this family dominated the Bewdley club from Nantes when there were 23 members. Bernie also had a cock from these lines that won Nantes called ‘Rambo’ and a cock called ‘Tommy’, both being winners of many prizes. Hope this information tells us a bit more about this family. Anyone with anything else on this line I would be interested to hear from you.
