The Solway Federation (97/1781) was down at Lymm on Saturday 10th May. Liberated at 10.30am into a light South-West wind the birds homed with velocities just into the 1400s. Losses were few this week and I am pleased to say I had a full return this week with 21 from 21. Langholm had the best of things having five birds in the leading ten. Top of the list this week is D Norton who timed three birds to take 1st, 8th and 9th Open with velocities of 1469, 1399 and 1395. R V Graham timed in to take 2nd Open doing 1467. W Irving also from Langholm takes 3rd Open on 1448. The remaining Federation positions were 4th R V Graham on 1422. R White of Springfield is 5th doing 1416. Jim Ferguson of Eastriggs with a velocity of 1414. R J B Renwick from Brydekirk 1404 and J Pollock of Eastriggs takes 10th on 1388.

Lockerbie H.C. 4/65
A good win here for George A & L Firth who timed in on 1370. Kenny Thomson takes 2nd and 3rd doing 1357.6 and 1357.2, followed by Davy Robinson taking 4th on 1337.
Annan H.C. 15/286
Also having a good start to the season is Angus Simmons who timed in to take 1st, 2nd and 3rd Club with velocities of 1353, 1348 and 1303.
R S R Rome & R J Rome are 4th doing 1334.
Hoddam F.C. 9/125
Winning their second race of the season here is Mr & Mrs J Graham. We got a drop of three birds from a batch of around fifteen birds heading up country. They trapped straight away and had velocities of 1374.3, 1374.1 and 1371.
G Dalgliesh & Son take 4th Club on 1366.

R J B Renwick timed the leading two birds into the Club doing velocities of 1404 and 1340. Scott Irving Jnr timed the next two on 1303 and 1288.

Springfield H.C. 7/153
Raymond White (the Federation Controller) timed the leading two birds into Springfield to take 1st and 2nd Club on velocities of 1416 and 1374.
G Grant & Son flying in top form this season take 3rd and 4th doing 1372.6 and 1372.2.
Eastriggs H.C. 16/328
Jim Ferguson wins this one with a velocity of 1414, with J Pollock taking 2nd on 1388 and Mr & Mrs Mark Goldie are 3rd on 1360.
Dumfries F.C. 17/267
It’s another good win here for Mr & Mrs Karl Gunther and Grandson they take 1st and 2nd Club as well as 1st and 2nd West Section doing velocities of 1309 and 1285.
Jim Seaton had a good race as well and timed in four in the Section as well as taking 3rd and 4th Club. His Section positions being 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th on velocities of 1260, 1246.7, 1246.4 and 1244.
Krause & Charteris take the 9th Section position doing 1244.
Nith Valley 13/162
Albert Hay of Nith Valley takes 1st and 2nd Club, 4th and 5th Section doing 1283 and 1249. A Russell is 3rd Club, 10th Section on 1238
