The glorious 12th for Tony & June Whitehurst. 

 

 Saturday August 12th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Hullavington.

The pigeons were liberated at 09-45 in a West North West wind.

 

 In Etwall & District Flying Club Saturday the 12 August turned out to be the glorious 12th for Tony & June Whitehurst getting the first two pigeons into Derby and taking 1st & 2nd in the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation. 

Getting the red card was a cheq cock doing 1598 which was purchased from Kevin Spears as a youngster, which was followed by a mealy cock doing 1597 then a blue cock doing 1540 to take fourth.  In third position with a pencil cock doing 1560 was Alan & Liz Houldsworth.

 

In Osmaston Park Homing Society John & Steve Hicks took the first three positions with a slatey cock doing 1544 followed by a cheq hen doing 1534 then a red hen doing 1531.

In fourth position with a red hen doing 1531 was Dave Waddington.

 In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club Mr & Mrs K Haslam & Son took the first three positions doing 1513,1491.8 & 1491.1. In fourth position was R & M Duffield doing 1450.

 

In the Brackens South Road Flying Club Paul & Lynda Todd take three of the first four positions with two blue hens doing 1491 & 1468 with a blue cock doing 1455.  Their winner was bred of their Steve Foster pigeons.In second position doing 1469 was Reuben Hough.

 

The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Hullavington and got their pigeons away at 09-15 in a west north west wind.  Making a clean sweep in Derby Premier was Paul & Lynda Todd with a red hen taking top spot doing 1540 which was bred by Jake Harcup, followed by two cheq hens doing 1540 & 1539 then a dk/ch/cock doing 1528.
