Sunday May 8th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Blandford with the pigeons being liberated at 09-25 in a north west wind.

Getting the first two pigeons into Derby and taking the top two positions in Etwall & District Flying Club was the Chaddesden loft of Alan & Liz Houldsworth.Getting the red card was a yearling cheq hen doing 1153 followed by a two year old cheq cock doing 1135.In third position was Paul Williams with a two year old cheq cock doing 1111 with Steve Billings in fourth doing 1104 with a three year old blue cock.

In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club Rick Shelton opens his account for the season getting the red card with a yearling blue cock doing 1164 followed by a yearling cheq cock doing 1138 to take third.In second position was R & M Duffield with a six year old cheq cock doing 1149 with Mr & Mrs J Dowd in fourth with a three year old cheq hen doing 1131.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society Mick Fearn gets his hat trick with a two year old blue cock getting the red card doing 1130 with second position going to S & H W Hall with a yearling blue cock doing 1112.In third & fourth positions doing 1106 with a yearling blue cock & 1105 with a cheq cock was Brian Dyjas.

     

Alan & Liz Houldsworth Etwall & District Flying Club Winners     -    Rick Shelton Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club winner     -     Mick Fearn Osmaston Park Homing Society winner      -     Paul & Lynda Todd Derby Premier winners from Salisbury & second Derby Burton & District South Road Federation Salisbury.

In the Brackens South Road Flying Club Paul & Lynda Todd make a clean sweep doing 1065,1048,1032 & 1022.Their winner was a four year old cheq hen followed by a yearling blue hen then a yearling blue cock and a yearling blue hen.

The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Salisbury and the pigeons were liberated Sunday at 12-20 in a north east wind.Taking the first three positions  was Paul & Lynda Todd.Their winner was a two year old mealy hen  getting its fourth 1st prize doing 1338 also second Derby Burton & District South Road Federation ( Well Done ) followed by a yearling blue hen doing 1310 then a two year old b/w/f hen doing 1307.In fourth position with a yearling cheq hen doing 1297 was L.D.S. Johnson.
