Saturday July 30th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Cheltenham with the pigeons being liberated at 10-00 in a light north west wind.
In Osmaston Park Homing Society taking the first three positions and getting the first pigeon into Derby was club secretary Steve Stone. His winner was a cheq cock doing 1327.7 which was bred of his grizzle family followed by a blue hen doing 1327.3 then a b/pied cock doing 1313.5.In fourth position with a cheq hen doing 1311 which was purchased from Brian Broughton as a squeaker was S & H W Hall.
In Etwall & District Flying Club Alan & Liz Houldsworth took the red card with a cheq hen doing 1268 followed by a dark hen doing 1196.7 to take third position then a blue hen doing 1196.2 to take fourth position.In second position with a blue hen doing 1225 was Tony & June Whitehurst.
In Derby South Road Flying Club Paul & Lynda Todd get the winner with a black hen which was bred by Jake Harcup doing 1181 with Brailsford & Doyle taking the next two positions with two blue hens doing 1129 & 1117 with Mick Leszczyszak in fourth with a blue hen doing 1115.
The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Upper Hayford and the pigeons were liberated at 10-00 in a north north west wind.
In the Cornishman Homing Society and getting the first pigeon back from the two clubs and taking the red card was Reuben Hough with a blue cock doing 1259.Taking the next three positions was Woolley & Rogers with three blue hens doing 1113,958 & 954.
In Derby Premier making a clean sweep was the Allenton loft of L.D.S. Johnson.Taking the red card with a velocity of 1268 was a blue cock followed by a red cock doping 1098 the able cock doing 1043 and finally a red cock doing 970.
