Derby Notes
Saturday April 30th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Upper Heyford for their second race of the season. The pigeons were liberated at 10-45 in a light north wind turning southerly en-route.
In Holbrook 12 members sent 350 birds and getting back to back wins was the partnership of B & S Stone doing 1593 followed by their next pigeon doing 1592 to take second both yearlings. In third & fourth was Rob Pearson doing 1581 & 1572 with two yearlings.
Kevin Southall takes the red card in Etwall & District Flying Club where 7 members sent 159 birds. His winner was a two year old blue hen doing 1585 followed by Steve Billings in second with a yearling cheq cock doing 1574.In third & fourth was A.Peach & Son with a five year old cheq hen doing 1505 and a yearling grizzle hen doing 1504.

Kilburn club were at Marlborough with the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation where 3 members sent 55 birds. The pigeons were liberated at 09-30 in a light north east wind. Getting the winner for the second week was Keith Foulke with a blue hen doing 1477 this was followed by a dk hen doing 1461 to take second. In third & fourth was Stewart Wainwright with a blue cock doing 1422 and a blue hen doing 1293 all the first four pigeons were yearlings.
