This week takes us to Wetherby is a market town and civil parish within the City of Leeds metropolitan borough, in West Yorkshire, England. The town stands on the River Wharfe, and for centuries has been a crossing place and staging post on the Great North Road midway between London and Edinburgh. Again, the weather was changeable with persistent showers forecast for the afternoon and that’s what materialised. Well it what in Scotland we call "smirr "rain, which makes visibility very poor. The 4,600 pigeons and 14 Fauldhouse crates were liberated at 08 30 hrs in lovely weather at race point into a light north west wind, verging south west on route.
The winners made into 1400ypm and birds had been through rain. Again, the first hour made the returns any thereafter returned infrequently.
