The South West of England Lerwick Club
The SWELC was at Wakefield in West Yorkshire and on the 25/5/24 and at 10am the birds were liberated into an East South East wind on their way the top twenty positions were as follows in the club taking 1st 2nd and 8th open plus 1st 2nd and 4th Longford club flying 132 miles was the partnership of Orchard & Vincent their winner a 2y blue hen and this hen being a broken pigeon and only her fourth north road race being a Andreas Drapper bred and raced by the late Ian Pollard when Ian sadly passed away his birds had to go so the partnership broke and tried a few out on the road their second scoring bird a 1y grizzle cock being bred out of Matthew Munslow birds and their third bird another Matthew Munslow bred bird from a kit of six they purchased to try being a 2y blue cock and all were raced on the traditional natural system with velocities of 1419 ,1418 and 1414.

1st open Wakefield Vincent & Orchard
3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th open plus 1,2,3,4 in the Sodbury vale club was Chris & John Adams flying 155 miles their first a 2y blue hen being a Pitbull Van Den Bulk followed by a 1y blue hen of Hardy Kruger X Coreman followed by a 1y Dark cock of Joe Thompson birds of Bristol and their final a 1y blue cock of Wall Lunt & Green X Hardy Kruger all were flown on the widowhood system with velocities of 1416, 2 x 1415.823 and 1415.455.
4th and 17th open plus 3rd Longford club was Fred Caruana flying 128 miles his first a 2y blue cock bred off Ray Hunt birds and his second a 3y blue Herman Cuesters hen all being flown on the chaos system with velocities of 1415.906 and 1399.
9th open flying 151 miles was Dave Smith with a 1y blue hen being a Herman Cuesters bred by Leighton Golledge of Newport flown on the roundabout system with a velocity of 1411.016.
10th open plus 1st Oldland club was Adrian Bishop flying 160 miles with a 1y blue cock of Brian Olver bred birds flown on the roundabout system with a velocity of 1411.009.
11th and 12th open plus 4th Longford club was Trevor Cooke flying 128 miles his first a 1y blue cock being a best Kittle and his second a 1y chequer hen being a Jansen X Franz Zwols raced on the roundabout system with velocities of 1408 and 1407.
13th, 18th, 19th and 20th open was Steve Bennett flying 154 miles his first a 3y blue hen being a Gino Clercq X Gerritt Lahuis the next two both being 1y chequer hens and both being Gordon Brothers of Ireland birds and the final being a 3y blue white flight hen of Porsche 911 Pipa line bred bird and we're all flown on the Mark Sparey of Wales system with velocities of 1406, 1398 and 2 x 1396.
14th and 16th open plus 1st and 2nd South Bristol club was Steve Moseley flying 163 miles with 2 x Van Dyke widowhood flown cocks doing 1402.817 and 1401.
15th open was the Walker Brothers flying 140 miles with a 2y blue hen being a Franz Zwols X Van Dewouwer flown on the natural system sent sitting 7day old nest eggs with a velocity of 1402.372.
