TOP THREE FOR DAVE JONES AT PACKMOOR
Hello all
Here at Packmoor 12 members sent a fantastic 398 birds to Hullavington, the third young bird race of the season and as usual the race controllers got it spot on regarding the weather and liberation time. So, as expected, a good race was had with 398 birds in the race at Packmoor these are the races you want to be involved in and win and after all the members had been notified of the liberation time the race was on.
At the club house on Saturday night all the members commented on the race and the returns from the race and everyone seemed satisfied. One member who was happy enough was Dave Jones from Pylon View Lofts who learned that he had won the meat raffle that is run at the Grapes every week and had also taken the first three places in the race, a fantastic achievement for Dave and his team of mainly Lambrecht birds. As Dave said, he saw four birds heading for his lofts on a good line and as they approached the lofts two birds peeled off and trapped well, these were followed by his third bird. In fourth place was last week’s winners Bailey & Proctor followed by Lee Khan & Sons in fifth and sixth.
