THE ORCHESTRA OF NATURE.
If you study the animals and birds within the ecosystems of nature, a symbiotic relationship takes place. Standing amongst all the creatures,you may have an awareness at a profound level of feeling that you are at one with nature. At this time senses may be heightened by the sight and sounds of all the individual species perceived as one great web of life. In nature different species are in constant communication with each other, yet science tends to examine and name individual species due to ordering, classification and nomenclature. The wise man is in tune with the earth and cosmic influences on a deep and profound level. I have been very excited in the natural world with enhanced perceptions of atmosphere and events, leading to ecstasy and euphoria. You will feel supernatural in the presence of a howling wolf under the moon,or the whispering sands of The Sahara-hyperstimulated people may be sensitive to supernatural events in the natural world. More to life than is realised by the wisest sage.

THE THIRD EYE.
It sounds like an esoteric, mysterious physical structure with Eastern connotations. In reality it refers to the benefit of instant perception or intuition that gives penetrating insight. I rely on this function when reading the true nature of people on the phone,in direct social contact or in writing. My time in deserts and other wilderness and wild,uninhabited regions of the world cut me to the quick ,sharpened,opened up the elemental man and developed intuition. Having faced life and death situations,it enlivens you no end,or you die. I like the saying --lifes hard then you die. Many people are brainwashed by the media and education: i suggest a walk on the wild side. Intuitive people may see you as you are, behind the mask.

LUCID DREAMING.
At 68 years i still have a head full of dreams. These are day and night,as the brain is in a constant buzz. During sleep i may have dreams which are observed ,by what i call the conscious ego of the psyche,you watch your own dream as it unfolds,like an audience of yourself. I have dream themes that repeat themselves,as being out in Afghanistan,Pakistan and other places on the edge of risk and danger,the brain has been traumatised. The corollary is that i create the most lovely verse to balance and compensate the psyche. In terms of the paranormal some people with psychosis ie schizophrenia,bipolarity or say schizotypy would be interesting to hear from along with highly creative or genius individuals. I realise that these are conventional labels of what are diverse examples of the human psyche! It is certain that we will not tap the inner core of the deeper layers of a complete psyche.

COMMON THOUGHTS OF THE MODERN FANCIER
There is nostalgia for the old British strains and the legends of the past who flew marathon pigeons from Spain and France. Young bird sickness problems and poor moulting are turning people away from darkness systems ,with a fresh look at open loft natural ways of flying fit pigeons. I would like to see the British strain maker have a resurgence of the old traditions that have stood the test of time. In 41 years i have modernised my feeding and supplementation and that is all ,and my bloodlines still produce some champions for my partner and others. There is a tendency to demand quick results,instant gratification ,fair weather liberations,and to blame the officials when things go wrong. For many it is a win,win,win thought process,yet the big race in Europe has never been won in the UK. A popular notion is that other peoples,or continental birds are best. In reality all racers are of mixed origins,where the race management ability of the fancier is the most important issue-good birds are frequent,until you get to marathon distances,then champions are rare. There is a distinct counter culture against excess commercialism. Personally,i wish to see more small back garden lofts who have raced right through from club to International level and at all distances. The modern archetype is of an ultra competitive person who has a desire to prevail and win it all. The marathon man derives pleasure from the return of his birds at beyond 700 miles, with an intimate relationship with his favourite performers.

THE RETURN TO NATURE
Humans, observe, study, celebrate and are part of nature. After the completion of a life cycle ,the truth is that we all return to it. The human,physical shell will be recycled as dust,particles and atoms-many scatter ashes into the primary elements of wind,water and air after purification by fire. I see an elemental,primordial and mystical beauty in this pure and simple act. The spirit of the human that lived on planet earth is no more. The lesson we should learn is to revere,conserve and preserve the natural world,in all its magnificance when we are alive on planet earth. My creative writing communicates this message and my practical garden is an ecosystem, pulsating with life.
