OBITUARY FOR CHRISTINE MASON
Chris, the wife of Barry will be recalled as a legendary fancier from Strensall in the York area. Alone and with her husband her guts, determination and absolute dedication thrust her to the top in many distances up to 573 miles on the day of liberation. A bright woman she was active on an administrative and leadership level, and intelligent company to her friends. She made 500 miles on the day look easy. Her passing leaves a void in the York racing scene that it is not possible to fill. The genes that she evolved will live on with Barry, and she will be remembered with respect.
