Hullavington
Saturday June 24th and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Hullavington with 1243 pigeons being liberated at 09-30 in a strong west wind with three Selston members taking the first six positions and all the pigeons were yearlings.
Topping the federation with a yearling hen doing 1705.4 was D.Hadfield which was the only pigeon in the fed doing over 1700 ypm well done.In second position was S & K Purdy with a yearling cock doing 1692.0.Third position went to D.Hadfield with a yearling hen doing 1683.1 with B & A Evans taking the next three with a yearling cock doing 1683.0 and two yearling hens doing 1682.5 & 1682.1.Seventh position went to T.Wainwright of Ashby with a yearling cheq cock doing 1677.4 followed by club member P & D Wainwright in eighth with a six year old blue hen doing 1673.7.Derby Premier members Mr & Mrs Paul Todd were next with a two year old blue hen doing 1672.2.Jepson & Bennett of Poolsbrook took tenth position with a yearling blue cock doing 1655.0.Next were two Selston members D.Oakley with a two year old cock doing 1653.1 followed by M.Buxton with a two year old cock doing 1650.4.Thirteenth position went to Mr & Mrs P Todd Derby Premier with a four year old blue hen doing 1647.2.In fourteenth position was F & M Groom South Normanton with a four year old cock doing 1641.9.The next four positions went to Railway Inn North members with V Derricott & T.Poole doing 1640.4 with a two year old blue hen followed by two yearling blue cocks doing 1640.0 and1639.1 to take sixteenth and eighteenth with P.Spendlove in seventeenth with a two year old b/pied hen doing 1639.4.M & L Herbert of Poolsbrook were nineteenth with a yearling b/pied hen doing 1637.5 with P & M Lloyd in twentieth with a three year old hen doing 1630.5.
