Saturday 26th July 2014 saw the start of the young bird programme for both the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation & the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation.


Derby Premier were at Windrush with the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation and the pigeons were liberated at 09-00 in a light north wind. Getting the winner and breaking his novice was Neil Croft doing 1251 with a cheq hen and just to put the icing on the cake topped the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation. Well done Neil. In second position was L D S Johnson doing 1234 followed by Roy Gregory & Son in third position doing 1175 with Pat Tillson in fourth doing 1164.


Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Cheltenham and the pigeons were liberated at 07-30 in a light north wind.
In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club Rob Pearson made it a clean sweep taking the first four positions doing 1386.8, 1386.4, 1386.1 & 1378.4.
In Derby South Road Flying Club Roy Gregory & Son take the first three positions doing 1367, 1306 & 1302 with Brailsford & Doyle in fourth doing 1243.
In their five bird section Brailsford & Doyle take first & third positions doing 1243 & 1075 with Roy Gregory & Son in second & third doing 1195 & 1194.
In Osmaston Park Homing Society Mick Stone takes the first two positions doing 1331 & 1268 with Jake Harcup in third position doing 1267 followed by Steve Stone in fourth doing 1266.
In Etwall & District Flying Club Dave Williams & Son take the red card doing 1261 with Steve Billings taking the next three positions doing 1258, 1254 & 1248.
In the Silver Ghost Homing Society Fred Stevenson took the first three positions doing 1259, 1256 & 1223 with Reuben Hough in fourth doing 1102.
