Saturday August 9th 2014 and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Hullavington and the pigeons were liberated at 09-00 in a west south west wind.


In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club making a clean sweep was Rob Pearson. His winner was a blue cock doing 1766.7 followed by a dk/cock doing 1766.5 taking third position was a cheq hen doing 1764 followed by a blue hen in fourth doing 1760. All these pigeons were bred out of pigeons obtained from Ann Smith of Ashbourne. To put the icing on the cake Rob was 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th & 10th Burton & South Derbyshire Federation 2227 pigeons.
In Osmaston Park Homing Society it turned out to be a two loft race with Ron Hall of Little Eaton taking three of the first four positions. His winner was a b/pied hen doing 1742 followed by a cheq cock doing 1678 then a red cheq cock doing 1677. In second position was Mick Fearn with a blue hen doing 1704.
In Derby South Road Club Roy Gregory & Son of Mackworth made a clean sweep taking the first four positions. Their winner was a cheq hen doing 1703 followed by a blue hen doing 1690 then two blue cocks doing 1658 and 1651.
In their five bird section Roy Gregory & Son take three of the first positions doing 1658, 1623 & 1619 with Brailsford & Doyle in second position doing 1639.
In the Silver Ghost Homing Society Reuben Hough takes the red card with a b/cheq cock doing 1691 and a b/pied hen doing 1601 to take fourth position. In second position was last week's winner Tom Chadwick with a b/pied hen doing 1645 followed by A Beastall with a b/cheq hen doing 1603 to take third.
In Etwall & District Flying Club A Peach & Son get the winner with a blue cock doing 1641. In second position was Alan & Liz Houldsworth with a black cock doing 1618 followed by A & C Perry in third with a blue hen doing 1610 with Steve Billings in fourth with a blue cock doing 1603.

Derby Premier were at Windrush with the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation and the pigeons were liberated at 09-20 in a west south west wind. Taking the top three positions was Roy Gregory & Son with a dark cock doing 1662 followed by a grizzle cock doing 1662 then a d/w/f cock doing 1658. In fourth position was L D S Johnson with a blue cock doing 1635.
