Saturday August 6th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Hullavington and the pigeons were liberated at 08-15 in a light west wind.


Having an excellent day were Alan & Liz Houldsworth who made a clean sweep in Etwall & District Flying Club and got the first four pigeons into Derby.Their pigeons were all hens and the winner was doing 1560 which was well clear and was bred by Rob Pearson.The next three were doing 1493.9,1493.5 & 1493.3.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society Mick Stone continued to dominate with a blue cock doing 1488 to take the red card.In second position it was John & Steve Hicks with a cheq cock doing 1487 followed by Hall & Torry with a grizzle hen doing 1478 with S & H W Hall in fourth with a cheq cock doing 1476.

In Derby South Road Flying Club it was new members Mr & Mrs Noel Wylie who took the red card also third position.Their winner was a blue hen doing  1397 followed by a red hen doing 1343.In second position was Mick Leszczyscak with a blue hen doing 1365 with Brailsford & Doyle in fourth with a blue hen doing 1297.


The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Windrush and the pigeons were liberated at 09-30 in a  west south west wind.Taking the red card with a blue cock doing 1528 was John Coote with Paul & Lynda Todd taking the next three positions with a red cock doing 1422 then two cheq hens both on 1381.
