Saturday 2nd July was the final inland race for both the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation who were at Frome & the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation whip were at Newbury.
The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation liberated at 07-30 from Newbury in a west wind.Making a clean sweep in Derby Premier Flying Club and also topping the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation for the second time this season was the Oakwood loft of Paul & Lynda Todd.Their winner was a yearling blue cock doing 1664 which was bought of Pigeon Chat from the loft of Niall Bowker.The sire was bred from two R.P.R.A winners and the dam was bred from Keith Morgan stock.This was followed by a four year old cheq hen doing 1613 then a blue hen doing 1603 and a mealy cock doing 1584 both yearlings.This just caps a excellent old bird inland season.

The Burton & South Derbyshire Federation liberated at Frome at 08-15 in a west wind.
In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club John & Pamela Dowd capped their old bird in land season having a excellent day taking the red card with a two year old blue hen doing 1731 followed by a two, two year old cheq cocks doing 1729 & 1717 to take second & third positions.To put the icing on the cake they were 1st & 2nd Burton & South Derbyshire Federation well done to you both.In fourth position with a yearling blue cock doing 1713 was Roger & Mark Duffield.
Another fancier having a excellent season was Mick Stone getting the first two pigeons into Derby and taking the red card in Osmaston Park Homing Society.His winner was a yearling dk/ch cock doing 1728 followed by a yearling blue cock doing 1727 to take second position.In third & fourth positions was Dave Waddington with two yearling cocks doing 1726 & 1695.
In Etwall & District Flying Club Alan & Liz Houldsworth make it a clean sweep taking the first four positions.Their winner was a yearling cheq cock which was bred by his good friend Ian Burnett doing 1715 followed by a two year old blue cock doing 1649 then two yearling blue cocks doing 1693 & 1692.
In the Cornishman Homing Society Reuben Hough takes the first three positions with a two year old b/ch cock doing 1686 to take the red card for the second week followed by a three year old blue hen doing 1598 then the dart doing 1597.In fourth position was Woolley & Rogers with a two year old blue cock doing 1515 which was bred by Reuben Hough.
In Derby South Road Club Mick Leszczyszak takes the top three positions with a red cock doing 1595 followed by two blue cocks doing 1550 & 1522 all yearlings.In fourth position was Brailsford & Doyle with a blue yearling cock doing 1502.
