Saturday May 11th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Yeovil, and the pigeons were liberated at 10-35 in a north, north west wind.
In Osmaston Park Homing Society twenty-one members sent 316 birds which turned out to be a two-loft race with Mick Stone taking the red card also third. His winner was a four year old dk/cheq cock doing 1350 followed by a yearling blue hen doing 1326 to take third.In second & fourth was Mick Fearn with a yearling cheq hen doing 1331 followed by a two year old blue hen doing 1321 taking fourth.

In Holbrook eight members sent 220 birds with Trevor Jennings having a good day taking the first three with two yearling cheq hens doing 1345 & 1331.0 taking first & third and with a two-year red hen doing 1331.4 taking second. In fourth was B & S Stone doing 1312 with a yearling blue cock.
In Etwall & District Flying Club 12 members sent 207 birds. Alan & Liz Houldsworth get the winner with their good b/pied hen getting its second first prize this year dong 1332.In second & third was last week’s winners A. Peach & Son with two blue hens doing 1330 & 1298 followed by Peter & Shirley Harrison in fourth with a two year old blue cock doing 1283.

In Kilburn 6 members sent 135 birds and taking the red card with a yearling blue cock doing 1226 was Keith Cresswell, with Keith Foulke taking the next two positions with a three year old blue cock doing 1223 and a yearling slatey cock doing1170 followed by Stuart Wainwright in fourth with a yearling cheq cock doing 1168.
