Saturday 3rd June and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Newton Abbot .The pigeons were liberated at 09-20 in a north east wind. Holbrook Miners Welfare had 6 members sending 61 birds and getting the red card was Trevor Jennings who was way out in front doing 1260.Taking the next three positions with his in form team of hens was Mick Fearn doing 1234,1233 & 1219.

In Osmaston Park Homing 8 members sent 57 birds with Mick Stone getting his 4th first prize of the season with a yearling blue cock doing 1220.In second with a yearling cheq hen doing 1214 were Alan & Liz Houldsworth with the next two positions going to S & H W Hall with a two year old cheq pied hen doing 1166 and a yearling cheq hen doing 1165.

 Etwall & District Flying Club had 6 members sent 118 birds with A.Peach & Son  taking the top spot with a four year old cheq hen doing 1186 followed by a four year old blue hen doing 1153 to take third. In second with a two year old cheq cock doing 1174 was Steve Billings followed by Kevin Southall with a yearling blue hen doing 1145 to take fourth.

Derby Premier had 5 members sending 106 birds with the red card going to Paul & Lynda Todd with a yearling cheq hen doing 1352.Taking the next three positions was Dave Waddington with two blue yearling cocks doing 1344 and a red yearling cock doing 1343.

Saturday June 10th and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Salisbury with the convoyer getting the pigeons away at 07-30 in a light north east wind.

In Derby Premier 5 members sent 106 birds with L.D.S. Johnson taking three of the first four positions with a yearling grizzle cock doing 1307 taking the red card followed by a three year old cheq cock doing 1298 in second, then a yearling mealy cock doing 1286 in fourth. In third with a yearling b/cheq cock doing 1290 was Dave Waddington.

Kilburn Miners Welfare had 3 members sending 43 pigeons with Stewart Wainwright taking top spot with a two year old cheq cock doing 1128 followed by a two year old dark cock doing 1071 to take third. Holbrook Miners Welfare had 10 members sending 169 birds with the in form loft of Trevor Jennings continuing to dominate getting a podium finish taking the first three positions  with velocities of 1288.3,1288.2 & 1288.1 followed by Kevin Mathews in fourth doing 1272.

In Etwall & District Flying Club 6 members sent 105 birds with Kevin Southall taking the top two positions with a three year old cheq cock taking the red card doing 1274 followed by a yearling red cock doing 1218 to take second. In third & fourth were A.Peach & Son with a two year old black cock doing 1212 and a four year old blue cock doing 1210.

Holbrook Miners Welfare had 7 members sending 71 birds and this turned out to be a two loft race with Mick Fearn getting the red card doing 1434 with his next pigeon doing 1386 to take fourth. In second & third was the ever present Trevor Jennings doing 1415.9 & 1415.8.

Etwall & District Flying Club had 4 members sending 84 birds. Getting a podium finish taking the first three positions was the inform loft of Kevin Southall. His winner was a yearling red cock doing 1776 followed by two three year old cocks doing 1753 & 1748.In fourth with a two year old cheq cock doing 1726 was Steve Billings.

Their winner was a two year old cheq pied hen doing 1769 followed by two, two year old hens doing 1753.7 & 1753.5. In second with a yearling cheq pied hen doing 1755 were Alan & Liz Houldsworth.

Taking second & third with a 5 year old slatey cock doing 1621 and a dark yearling hen doing 1616 was Keith Foulke.
