Saturday August 24th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Blandford Forum with the pigeons being liberated at 09-00 in a south east wind.
In Holbrook six members sent 158 birds and making it back to back wins was Robert Pearson who's winner was a cheq hen doing 1489 which was bred out of his Ann Smith pigeons. His second pigeon was a blue hen doing 1450 taking fourth. In second & third was D & A Swift with a cheq cock doing 1488.3 and a blue w/f cock doing 1488.1.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society fourteen members sent 208 birds with Paul & Lynda Todd continuing to dominate getting a clear winner with a cheq cock doing 1472 taking the red card. In second was Simon Woolley with a blue cock doing 1428 followed by Mick Stone with a blue cock doing 1418 in third with Mick Richardson in fourth with a blue hen doing 1397.

In Etwall & District Flying Club eight members sent 100 birds with A.Peach & Son leading the way with a blue cock doing 1389 taking the red card. This was followed by a cheq cock doing 1325 and a b/w/f hen doing 1291 to take second & fourth. In third was Tony & June Whitehurst with a cheq cock doing 1322.
It was also the breeder buyer race with A.Peach & Son getting the winner with Sam Phillips being the breeder.
