This week the race from Battle on the 22nd of June was liberated in a Variable wind. Topping the Combine and the Central Section is Mr & Mrs Lenny King of Hull on 1778. Topping the South Section is Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin of Bridlington on 1777. Topping the North Section is Rob Mallinson of Whitby on 1762. Topping the West Section is G. W Acey on 1746. Well done to everyone

 

Central Section:

 

Kingston Flying Club. 3 members sent 54 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Lenny King on 1778 with a Hereman Ceuster x Soontjen which has now had 5 x 1st. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Lenny King on 1733 with a Cooreman which is a previous winner. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Lenny King on 1723 with a Cooreman x Ceuster. Fourth place went once again to Mr & Mrs Lenny King on 1719 with another previous winner.

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 2 members sent 14 birds with the red card Second and Third places going to Duffin & Beasley on 1718 1717 & 1699 with his self bred Phil Sullivan pigeons. Fourth place went to Bri Rowson on 1687 with a Soontjen cock.

 

Hull Millennium Club. 9 members sent 149 birds with the red card going to I Tuttle on 1770 with a Ronnie Nickin Herman Ceuster which has scored from Battle before. Second place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1766 with a Wayne Brownlee Hardy Kruger which has had a 2nd before. Third place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1766 with one purchased from Jeff at Blackpool and is a multi prize winner. Fourth place went to I Tuttle on 1766 with a Hereman Ceuster x Vandenabeele which is one off his best racers.

 

Cottingham Homing Society. 7 members sent 57 birds with the red card going to John & Margaret Rawson on 1756 with a Marina Van de Velde which has scored before. Second place went to Kev Kingston & Family on 1753 with a Wayne Brownlee hen sitting eggs and has won the section before. Third place went to Kev Kingston & Family on 1726 with a with a Jan Arden hen. Fourth place went to George Atkinson on 1725 with a Vandenabeele.

 

Driffield Homing Society. 7 members sent 107 birds with the red card going to G. W. Acey on 1746 with a R. Kent of Kirbymoorside 2yr old Herman Ceuster which won as a young bird. Second place went to G. W. Acey on 1716 with a self bred N. Laycock x J. Redfern Louis Thijs x Leo Herman. Third place went to G. W. Acey on 1716 with a full sister to second pigeon. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 1713 with a Vandenabeele which won last Huntingdon. Welford sponsor G.W. Acey, Mr & Mrs Brumby, G. & G Ringrose & C. Sedman.

 

North Hull Club. 5 members sent 24 birds with the red card going to Pete & Angie Burke on 1701 with his fat mealy. Second place went to Pete & Angie Burke on 1699 with a Martin Dawson gift bird. Third and Fourth place went again to Pete & Angie Burke on 1697 & 1651 with his multi card winning Van Reet family.

 

Nafferton Flying Club. 5 members sent 42 birds with the red card and Fourth place going to Sam Jackson on 1737 & 1735. Second & Third place went to Oliver Shaw on 1726 & 1719. No details. 

 

Wawne Ferry Club. 8 members sent 76 birds with the red card going to A & K Hajduk on 1726 with a Vandenabeele. Second place went to A & K Hajduk on 1726 with a Van Loon. Third place went to A & K Hajduk on 1724 with a Van Green. Fourth place went to A & K Hajduk on 1716 with a Van Reet.

 

 

 

Coastal South Section:

 

Flamborough Homing Society. 9 members sent 213 birds with the red card and Second & Fourth places going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1777, 1777 & 1754. Third place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1772.  

 

Bridlington D.F.C. 5 members sent 51 birds with the red card and Fourth place going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1754 & 1716. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Wilkinson on 1722. Third place went to Harry Smith on 1719.

 

Holderness Flying Club. 7 members sent 92 birds with the red card going to Chris Salter on 1726 with a Rene Nauwelaert. Second place went to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1711 with his 369 monkey drank wine that usually does well over the Channel. Third place went to Ken Lister on 1690 with a Hardy Kruger cock. Fourth place went to Chris Syrett on 1690 with a Janssen x Jan Arden.

 

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 7 members sent 135 birds with the red card and Third & Fourth places all going to Phil & June Edmond on 1747, 1728 & 1710. Second place went to Barry Blenkinsop on 1737.

 

Withernsea Homing Society. 5 members sent 70 birds with the red card and Third places going to Dean Adamson on 1672 & 1661 with his self breds. Second place went to Rob Keelty on 1665. Fourth place went to Dave Beadle on 1633.   

 

 

Coastal North Section:

 

Scarborough Social Club. 8 members sent 100 birds with the red card going to Keith Todd on 1746 with a Janssen De Klak which has had 3 x 1sts and also 12 other cards. Second place went to Martin Wood on 1713 with one of his winning Rietvelds. Third Place went to Derek Howard Paddy Johnson & Roger Grundy on 1707 with one off his Keith Arkless breed. Fourth place went to Keith Todd on 1669 with one of his Van Loons.   

 

Whitby Premier Club. 6 members sent 114 birds with the red card going to S Mallinson & Son on 1762 with a 2yr old self bred Louis Thijs having had 1 x 2nd 1 x 4th & a 5th open. 1 x 5th 2 x 6th 3 x 7th and an open. Plus 3 x 8th Second place went to Alan Richardson with a self bred yearling Louis Thijs cock sitting 3 days. Third place went to S Mallinson & Son Rob with a self bred yearling Louis Thijs cock.  Fourth place went to Alan Richardson with a 2yr old cock sitting 3 days which has had 3rd and 7th positions before. S Mallinson & Son win the pools.

 

West Section 

Norton I. Flying Club. 8 members sent 99 birds with the red card going to Maurice Hodgson on 1737 with a self bred Rob Mallinson pigeon. Second place went to S. Taylor on 1732 with a Geerincks. Third place went to S. Jeffreys on 1725 no details. Fourth place went to S. Robinson on 1721 with a Homer Williams. Good returns from all
