Lanarkshire Fed Hexham put back 24hrs

The race from Hexham in the North East of England was put back 24hrs this week, as the forecasts said Sunday was the better day.Unfortunately Saturday turned out the best.Who would be a race controller!

The convoy were liberated at 10 15hrs in a light NW wind. The race was a "washout" the pigeons hit heavy banks of rain all the way up the country, with many recording only a fraction of their entry.
Lanarkshire was one of many federations who took a hit, with the birds struggling to get their line of flight, which is very important with youngsters.
As said before we are all our own race controllers when deciding to race and like this week the past and the present the racing will be affected by the ever changing weather patter in the British Isles.
The distance of 97 miles to the winners was recorded in 2hrs 35 minutes with a velocity of 1106 to the brilliant loft of GWP Macaloney who had 15 birds come together to win the first 14 in the centre section and first 14 in the Open federation.(One stopped out)
This a breakdown of this weeks outstanding result,
On Saturday GWP Macaloney  entered 60 youngsters in the LRPF, after a 24 hour delay the conditions were far from perfect, North West Wind, overcast  and heavy showers. The team put up a breath taking performance, with 15 arriving together, completely soaked to their skin, they managed to win
