Well for the last time of the old bird season we are back at Kelso in the Scottish borders. With Ypres the longest race for the federation heading our way next week. Fanciers will be using this as a training flight, or some will just be racing for the sport of racing.
The 2,350 birds plus four Fauldhouse club baskets were away at 6 30 am in a light south west wind. The winning birds took around 1hr 20 minutes for the 63 miles with a velocity of 1397ypm. This week’s winners are the brilliant GWP Macaloney’s of Airdrie. They just keep churning out federation winners and they are easily up with the best in Europe! Well done Wullie and Paul on a level of consistency that will never be equalled! Another great race day, thanks to race controller Tommy McDonagh.
