Lanarkshire Federation - Wooler 1 - "The Record breakers start with a bang"
The 2026 season got under way on Saturday 25th April at Wooler in Northumberland, North East England. The birds had a journey of 77 miles back into lower Central Scotland.
The morning started with fog covering the full line of flight and the 3,415 convoy had to wait till 1pm before being liberated in a light East North East wind.
The weather was bright and sunny on the line of flight.
This week’s winners started hitting the traps just after 1 hr 20 minutes for a velocity of 1692 ypm.
The Macaloney partnership of Paul and Charlene take the first 10 in the Open with their brilliant team of pigeons. Charlene was in charge for this week as Paul was away on work commitments.
