The SWELC second race was being flown from Coventry on the 3/5/25 and at 06.30am into north west wind the birds were liberated by Carl and Peter on their way.

The top twenty to report on are as follows claiming top spot of 1st open was Robert Light flying 81 miles with a 1y blue hen being a Staff Van Reet bred and gifted to him by fellow club friend Adrian Bishop Robert's winning velocity was 1676.484.

2nd open was Adrian Bishop who bred the winner and was pipped for a close 1st open to win the open by friend Robert with Adrian flying 84 miles doing 1676.064 Adrian's bird a 1y blue cock being a Jella Jemella strain being bred by Dave Wyatt.

3rd, 4th, 6th and 13th open was Chris and John Adams flying 79 miles with 3 x yearling cocks and a yearling hen of wall Lunt and Green based breeding lines on the widowhood system with velocities of 1671, 1670.942 1669 and 1653.

5th and 10th open was Jim Monks flying 88 miles the first a gift pigeon bred by Stuart Luff of a 2y blue cock followed by a 1y blue own strain hen with velocities of 1670.173 and 1664.

7th, 16th and 17th open was Andrezj Stanowski flying 87 miles the first a 1y chequer cock being a Van Den Bulk crossed a UK team of Nottingham bird the next a 2y chequer hen of UK team of Nottingham direct and the final a 1y blue hen of Leon Bores crossed August Jansen crossed R & D Faber flown on the roundabout system with velocities of 1668.628, and 2 x 1637.
