The SWELC kicked off its 2025 season with a visit to Stratford upon Avon racecourse in Warwickshire on the 27/4/25 at 12.30 into a light south west wind the birds were liberated.

The top open 20 positions are as follows sitting at the top of 1st and 2nd plus 14th open was Adrian Bishop flying 61 miles with two 1y cocks the winner being a staff Van Reet via Brian Olver and the second being bred from cow girl lines again via Brian Olver and the final a 1y chequer cock being a new north road amalgamation purchased baby online being bred by Sylwester Kaminski of Worksop his velocities were 1319 ,1315 and 1290.714.

8th, 11th, 19th and 20th open was Andrezj Stanowski flying 64 miles with his roundabout system flown old bird team the first a 2y blue hen of R & D Faber (titan 558 x Tyson) crossed Ausust Jansen the next a 2y blue hen of U & K Mazepa PL and the mother won the south road combine from Eastbourne the next a 1y blue hen of Leon Bores and the final a 3y blue white flight hen originating from Merwick Chwedoruk birds Andrezjs velocities were 1307, 1300, 1287.002 and again 1287.002.
9th, 10th and 17th open was Steve Bennett flying 56 miles the first a 1y blue hen being a pure Verkerk of Tinkerbell lines the second a 1y blue hen again a Verkerk crossed the Shropshire one loft race winner of 2023. And the final a 2y chequer hen of Herman Cuesters all were flown on the mark Sparey system and Steve informs us all the Verkerk birds are obtained through Dirk Klassen of the Netherlands Steve's velocities were 1302, 1301 and 1288.
12th open was D & M Moore flying 69 miles with a 1y blue cock doing 1292.
13th, 15th, 16th and 18th open was Chris & John Adams flying 56 miles with their team of widowhood's consisting of Coremans Hardy Krugers and wall Lunt & Green based birds with velocities of 1291, 2 x 1290.335, and 1287.844.
