Corby Town

This week Corby Town Pigeon Club had 3 members, sending 13 club birds. Mr and Mrs Stanton had another good race, with most of the result repeating over and over. They also recieved all 7 birds home that they sent. Their first bird came first doing 1053, this was a van reet blue cock. However, they missed 2nd place, losing it to another great partnership of The Murphy Bros, they were doing 1027 with a blue soonjen cock. But from 3rd to 7th they got the final places, with a mixture of hen and cock van reet birds. The third clocked club pigeon was doing 1000, going down into fourth doing 980, fifth 924, 6th and 7th 899. This week has proved to be another great week for the Stantons with their strong family of Van Reets. Well done guys. Also well done to Josh and Robert for beating them to the top 6. On behalf of our club we would like to congratulate Bob and Zena's daughter, Sally on her marriage to her partner Steve. We would like to wish them the happiest life as possible together. Congratulation guys. I would like to make a special thanks to all of our clubs members, who do a lot of work for the club. There are few members in our club and without their dedication to the the pigeon buisness, our club wouldn't be what it is today. Club reporter Aimee is so proud to be part of Corby Town; it is a great club with great members. Well done ladies and gents, keep up the good work.

Bred from cock they borrowed from A. Johnson/Son and a hen gifted by Shirley Pascoe from Truro. It was a long race from Perth, and felt even longer waiting at home. We had the better weather this end, by all accounts. We hope all of you got your birds home safe and sound. Did you all have a great Bank Holiday w/e? We hope so. Keep praying for the lovely weather for " Race Days", which we should be getting by now. Well guys and gals, until next week -keep well and take care. Bye for now - Sue & Nathan.
