Saturday 8th July and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Hullavington with 1048 birds being liberated at 08-30 in a North West wind.
Putting up an excellent performance and taking the first four positions in the fed was Mr & Mrs A Jackson of Woodhouse with their first two pigeons doing the same velocity of 1443.983 with their next two pigeons doing the same on 1443.831.( Excellent performance ).
Taking fifth & sixth fed were two more Woodhouse members with Leitch & Smith doing 1435.9 with a two year old blue cock followed by A & C Wheldon doing 1434.8 with a two year old blue cock.
V.Derricott & T.Poole of Railway Inn North were seventh with a two year old blue hen doing 1434.3.
In eight position was another Woodhouse member J.Burton doing 1434.1.
Ninth,eleventh & twelve positions went to Derby Premier members Paul & Lynda Todd.Their first pigeon was a yearling b/pied cock doing 1431.6 getting its second first prize this year and was purchased from Steve Foster as a youngster.Their second pigeon was a yearling cheq cock doing 1431.0 followed by a yearling blue hen doing 1430.4.K.Pryor of Selston was tenth fed with a yearling cheq pied hen doing 1431.5.
In thirteenth position was Darren & Vickey Johnson of Selston with a yearling grizzle hen doing 1428.6.
Taking fourteenth,Fifteenth & sixteenth positions was V.Derricott & T.Poole.Their first two pigeons were two blue yearling hens doing 1424.8 & 1424.30.
followed by a two year old blue hen doing 1424.3.
Eighteenth position went to Ralph Jepson Selston with a yearling dark cock doing 1421.3 followed by P.Spendlove Railway Inn North with a two year old b/pied hen doing 1420.7.
K.Pryor of Selston took twentieth with a yearling .
