On Saturday September 6th both the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were held over and were liberated on Sunday 7th September due to bad weather on the Saturday. First to liberate was the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation who got the pigeons away at 09-00 in a light northerly wind.
In Derby South Road Club the in form Mackworth loft of Roy Gregory & Son get the red card also the first pigeon into Derby with a blue cock doing 1284. In second & fourth positions with two cheq hens doing 1268 & 1255 was Dave Waddington with Brailsford & Doyle in third with a blue hen doing 1259. In their five bird section Roy Gregory & Son took the first three positions doing 1284, 1233 & 1206 with Brailsford & Doyle in fourth doing 1204.
Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club sees a new winner this week with G.Inger & Son taking the top two positions with two cheq hens of Belgian origin doing 1281 & 1278. In third position was Rob Pearson with a cheq hen doing 1272.19 followed by R & M Duffield in fourth with a blue hen doing 1272.03.
In Osmaston Park Homing Society Pat Tillson gets his second red card in two weeks doing 1263 and also takes fourth position doing 1213. In second position was Ron Hall doing 1227 with Mick Stone in third position doing 1222.
In the Silver Ghost Homing Society Reuben Hough gets the winner with a b/pied hen doing 1253 with Tom Chadwick taking the next three positions with a b/ch/pied hen doing 1208 followed by a b/cheq hen doing 1153 and finally a dk/cheq hen doing 1148.
In Etwall & District Flying Club Mr & Mrs T Childs & Son took two of the first four positions with a cheq cock doing 1234 getting the red card and another cheq cock doing 1210 to take fourth position. In second position was A.Peach & Son with a black cock doing 1232 with Steve Billings in third with a cheq cock doing 1213.
The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Salisbury and the pigeons were liberated at 11-00 in a north east wind.
Taking the top three positions in Derby Premier was the consistent partnership of Roy Gregory & Son with a ch/pied hen doing 1321.5 followed by a dk/wf cock doing 1321 then a grizzle cock doing 1280 with fourth position going to Paul & Lynda Todd with a b/w/f cock doing 1270.
