OSMASTON PARK 2014 PRESENTATION

Saturday November 15th saw the annual prize presentation evening for the Osmaston Park Homing Society which was held at their headquarters The Meadows. Presenting the prizes and guest of honour for the evening was Colin Nicholson.
First up and having a fantastic season and top prize winner for the 2014 season was Mick Stone winning 9x1sts, 11x2nds, 9x3rds & 4x4ths plus 9 minor positions winning highest points winner trophy, combine averages, young bird average, Ken Hall memorial trophy, Old bird inland trophy, Greg Reece Evans shield & Messac shield prize money of £255.96 plus gold ring race winnings of £85 making a total of of £340.
Runner up winning 2x1sts, 3x2nds, 3x3rds, 7x4ths plus 12 minor positions winning prize money of £124.82 also 1st breeder of the buyer £100 plus gold ring prize money of £10 with a total of £234.82 was Mick Fearn.
Mick Willis & Family came next winning 4x1sts plus 1 minor position, highest winning velocity trophy and prize money of £55.
Next up was Ron Hall winning 1x1st ,2x2nds, 2x3rds, 2x4ths plus 2 minor positions and prize money of £52.14 the winner of the gold ring race, winning £85 with total prize money of £137.14.
Pat Tillson came next winning 4x1sts, 2x4ths plus three minor positions, longest young bird race trophy and prize money of £52.14.
S & H W Hall were next winning 1x2nd, 3x3rds, 2x4ths & 6 minor positions with prize money of £50.56 plus gold ring race money of £30, 2nd breeder of the breeder buyer £67.50, buyer of the breeder buyer £67.50 with total winnings of £215.56.
Next up was Bob Ford winning 2x1sts, 2x2nds plus 1 minor prize winning channel average trophy, Carentan cup, Saintes cup,lowest winning velocity and bird of the year with his good blue cock GB 10 V 22439 which was the only bird in race time from Saintes winning prize money of £60.04, Gold ring race money of £20 making a total of £80.04.
Nicholson Brothers were next winning 1x1st, 2x2nds, 1x3rd, 1x4th plus 4 minor positions winning prize money of £45.82, gold ring race money of £10 plus 3rd buyer of the breeder buyer £50 making a total of £105.82.
Next came hard working secretary Steve Stone winning 2x3rds, 4x4ths plus three minor positions winning prize money of £37.92, gold ring race money of £160 and winner of the breeder buyer winning the breeder buyer trophy plus £100 making a total of £297.92.
Yule & Inger came next winning 1x1st, 1x3rd plus two minor positions winning prize money of £20.54, gold ring race money of £5 making a total of £25.54.
Next up was Jake Harcup winning 1x3rd, plus two minor positions and prize money of £11.06.
Mick Frawley came next winning 1x3rd plus 1 minor position and prize money of £7.90.
Paul Adams came next winning 1x4th and prize money of £4.74 and finally Mr & Mrs Jason Phillips with third breeder of the breeder buyer winning £50.
Sports person of the year went to Scott Willis.

The total payout for the 2014 season is £1618.74.
