Presentation Evening
Saturday November 28th and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation held their presentation evening at the Federation headquarters The Kilburn Miners Welfare Club. Guest of honour and presenting the prizes was yours truly Alan Houldsworth (T.3.) which I considered as a privilege and a honour. Opening the proceedings with a small speech was Federation Secretary Paul Todd.

Paul explained to the members that the federation was in a healthier position than it was this time last year and thanked all the members for their support and the management team for all their hard work and as a federation working together there is only one way to go and that was forward.
Then it was time for the presentation and first up and top prize winners for the 2015 season was Jenkinson & Partners winning pool & prize money of £1057.00.

Next up was Ralph Jepson who through out the season has had a little help from good friend Tony Wardle winning the fed special race from Nort-Sur-Erdre also the channel averages winning pool & prize money of £301.Next to the table was John Barker winning the fed special race from Carentan and £260 pool & prize money followed by Monty Buxton with winning pool & prize of £199.Next came Mick, Jo & Kevin Gaunt winning £196 and were winners of the fed special young bird from Portland. Paul Todd ( Fed secretary ) and wife Lynda came next with pool & prize money winnings of £190.Mr & Mrs H Jepson came next winning pool & prize money of £100 also winning the fed special race from Fougeres. Next up was Tom Banister who only raced young birds winning pool & prize money of £40.Then it was the turn of Daren & Vicky Johnson winning £30 followed by John & Jackie Langham with Jackie being an exceptional worker for the partnership and also does a outstanding job for the Fed. Finally it was the turn of Tommy Wainwright with winnings of £3.50.Not only does Jackie work hard for the fed but the rest of the fed management team put in 110% effort i.e.: Stuart Wainwright, Nathan Carder, Ralph Jepson, Paul Todd & Lynda Todd.

Jackie Langham,Tommy Wainwright, auctioneer Brian Stone who did once again an outstanding job.
After the presentation there was a breeder buyer young bird sale which made £875 with auctioneer Brian Stone doing a fabulous job. Also secretaries wife Lynda going round with the raffle which made £144.Then it was time to get stuck in to a very nice buffet followed by the entertainment and every one had an excellent evening. With the hard working and enthusiastic management team this fed has in place it can only go from strength to strength and they must be proud of what they have achieved up to now. The federation officials would like to thank everyone who gave a youngster also all those who purchased a youngster and all those who gave raffle prizes.
