Saturday May 14th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Kingsdown and the pigeons were liberated at 10-15 in a north north east wind.


In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club it turned out to be a one loft race with John & Pamela Dowd making a clean sweep.Their winner was a two year old cheq cock doing 1337 followed by

a two year old cheq hen doing 1336 then a two year old cheq cock doing 1332.6 with a yearling red cheq cock doing 1332.1 to take fourth.
In Osmaston Park Homing Society it was another excellent day for the Stone family with Mick Stone coming out on top and getting the first pigeon into Derby.His wi
nner

was a three year old blue cock doing 1334 to take the red card followed by a two year old blue cock doing 1325 to take fourth.In second & third positions was Steve Stone.

His first pigeon was a yearling grizzle cock doing 1328 followed by a two year old dk/ch cock doing 1326.


In Etwall & District Flying Club A.Peach & Son get their third red card of the season with a two year old cheq hen doing 1318.This hen already a winner this season.

In second & third positions was Alan & Liz Houldsworth with a blue two year old blue cock doing 1304 followed by a yearling cheq cock doing 1300.

In fourth position was Peter & Shirley Harrison with a white cock doing 1287.


In Derby South Road Flying Club it was a clean sweep for L.D.S. Johnson with their team of yearling hens doing 1301,1261,1254 & 1251.


In the Silver Ghost Homing Society Brian Dyjas continues to dominate taking the first three positions.Their winner was a yearling blue hen doing 1294 followed by a three year old blue cock

doing 1292 then a three year old cheq cock doing 1263.In fourth position was Mr & Mrs J & K Phillips with a three year old cheq cock doing 1258.


Derby Premier were at Sailsbury with the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation.Getting the red card for the fifth consecutive week also taking third & fourth positions

 was the consistent in form loft of Paul & Lynda Todd.Their winner was a two year old cheq cock doing 1336 followed by a yearling b/w/f hen doing  doing 1313

then a two year old blue cock ( last weeks winner ) doing 1313.

In second position was John Coote with a two year old cheq cock doing 1315.
