Sunday September 11th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Blandford. The pigeons were liberated at 08-15 with no wind given. Getting the red card in Osmaston Park Homing Society also the first pigeon into Derby was S & H W Hall. Their winner was a cheq hen doing 1628 followed by a b/pied hen doing 1615 to take third. In second & fourth positions was Roy Gregory & Son with

two blue hens doing 1621 & 1598.

In Etwall & District Flying Club Alan & Liz Houldsworth take three of the first four positions. Their winner was a cheq pied hen doing 1609 followed by a b/cheq hen doing 1609 then a blue hen doing 1563.In third position with a blue cock doing 1576 was Sam Phillips.

In Derby South Road Flying Club Mick Leszczyscak takes the top two positions with two blue hens doing 1445 & 1316 with Simon Woolley in third & fourth positions with two blue cocks doing 1065 & 753.

In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club John & Pamela Dowd make it a clean sweep taking the first four positions doing 1637.6, 1637.2, 1637.1 & 1636.7 also winning their 18th first prize of the season.

Derby Premier was at Marlborough with the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation for their final race of the season. The pigeons were liberated at 08-45 in a light south south east wind. Making a clean sweep was Paul & Lynda Todd. Getting the red card was a mealy cock doing 1627 which was bred by Jake Harcup followed by a blue cock doing 1623 then two blue hens doing 1585 & 1570.
