Saturday August 27th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Frome and the pigeons were liberated at 07-00 with no wind given.
Getting a hat trick of wins and the first pigeon into Derby for the second week in succession was S & H W Hall. Their winner was a dk/cheq cock doing 1065 and was a grandson of the incredible Wing Down and the dam was from Mantle Bros stock .They also took third position with a grizzle hen doing 1017.In second position was Mick Stone with a dk/cheq cock doing 1039 with Hall & Torry in fourth with a blue cock doing 1016 which was bred by S & H W Hall.

In their breeder buyer race club secretary Steve Stone took the first two positions doing 939 & 863.His first pigeon was bred by Mick Stone and his second pigeon bred by Mick Fearn.
In third position with a youngster bred by Dave Waddington was Mick Fearn.

In Ilkeston Bulls Homing Society John & Pamela Dowd continue to dominate getting the red card with a cheq hen doing 1116 followed by a blue hen doing 1020 to take fourth. In second & third position was Rick Shelton with two cheq hens both doing 1054.

In Derby South Road Flying Club Brailsford & Doyle took the top two positions with a blue hen doing 983 to take the red card followed by a cheq hen doing 934 to take second position. In third position was Mick Leszczyscak with a blue hen doing 884 followed by Mr & Mrs Noel Wylie with a cheq hen doing 860.

The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation basketed Saturday for a Sunday race but due to the bad weather were held over till Monday and were liberated at Marlborough at 09-00 in a west North West wind.
Making a clean sweep in Derby Premier with three blue cocks doing 1357 and a mealy cock doing was L.D.S. Johnson.
