Saturday August 13th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Hullavington with the pigeons being liberated at 11-00 in a west wind. Getting the first two pigeons into Derby and taking the first two positions in Etwall & District flying Club was Tony & June Whitehurst.
Taking the red card was a mealy cock doing 1541 followed by a blue cock doing 1521 to take second position. In second & third positions were Alan & Liz Houldsworth with a cheq hen doing 1484 followed by a blue hen doing 1478.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society S & H W Hall take the red card also third position. The winner was a cheq hen doing 1509.8 followed by a blue hen doing1508.In second position was Hall & Torry with a black hen doing 1509.1.In fourth position was club secretary Steve Stone with a cheq cock doing 1499.
In Derby South Road Flying Club Paul & Lynda Todd take the first two positions. Their winner was a mealy cock doing 1485 followed by a cheq hen doing 1418. In third & fourth positions was L.D.S. Johnson. Their first pigeon was a cheq hen doing 1415 followed by a mealy cock doing 1414.
The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Marlborough and were basketed Saturday for a Sunday race with the pigeons being liberated at 11-30 in a light north north east wind.
Getting the first pigeon back into Derby and taking three of the first four positions in Derby Premier was Paul & Lynda Todd. Their winner was a cheq cock doing 1249 which was bred from a cock gifted to them by Jake Harcup.This was followed by a blue hen doing 1047 then a blue cock doing 927.In third position was John Coote with a cheq hen doing 928.
