Saturday June 29th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Kingsdown with the pigeons being liberated at 07-15 in a light south east wind.
In Holbrook six members sent 100 birds with Trevor Jennings taking three of the first four positions with a yearling cheq cock doing 1462 taking the red card followed by a yearling cheq hen doing 1393 in third and a two-year-old b/pied hen doing 1385 in fourth. In second were D & A Swift with a yearling black hen doing 1402.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society sixteen members sent 159 birds with Paul & Lynda Todd taking the first three positions with a two-year-old cheq pied hen taking top spot doing 1451 followed by a yearling ch/wf hen doing 1430 then a two-year-old blue cock doing 1378 in third. In fourth were L.D.S. Johnson with a two-year-old blue cock doing 1356.
In Etwall & District Flying Club nine members sent 102 birds with A. Peach & Son taking the first two positions with a two year old cheq hen taking the honours doing 1380, followed by a two year old cheq cock doing 1373.In third were Alan & Liz Houldsworth with a three year old ch/pied hen doing 1351 with P & S Harrison in fourth with a yearling cheq hen doing 1334.

Kilburn club were at Bedhampton with The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation where five members sent 99 birds. The pigeons were liberated at 07-30 in an east south east wind. Taking three of the first four positions was Keith Cresswell. His winner was a two-year-old blue cock doing 1665 followed by a three-year-old blue cock doing 1553 in third then a yearling blue cock doing 1538 in fourth. Keith Foulke took second with a three year old dark hen doing 1661.
