Derby Burton & South Road Federation were at Marlborough.
Saturday August 17th and the Derby Burton & South Road Federation were at Marlborough when 65 members sent 1593 birds which were liberated at 08-00 in a south south west wind. Taking the first ten positions were all Selston members with Monty Buxton putting up an outstanding performance taking the first seven positions. His first two pigeons were both blue hens with his fed topper doing 1901.9 and is second pigeon doing 1901.2.The next four pigeons were all blue cocks doing 1889.1,1888.5,the next two doing 1874.1 and a cheq hen doing 1873.8.Congratulations Monty outstanding performance. Eighth position went to Ralph Jepson doing 1871.6 with Mr & Mrs K Haslam in ninth & tenth doing 1868.4 & 1867.2.
South Section.
The South Section belonged to Selston members with Monty Buxton making a clean sweep taking all six positions. His first two pigeons were both blue hens with his fed topper doing 1901.9 and is second pigeon doing 1901.2.The next four pigeons were all blue cocks doing 1889.1,1888.5,the next two doing 1874.1.
North Section.
The North Section winners were Poolsbrook members Jepson & Bennett taking five of the first six positions. Their section winner was a grizzle hen doing 1852.5 followed by two blue cocks doing 1852.0 & 1847.8.Then two blue cocks taking fifth & sixth doing 1832.6 & 1832.3. In fourth were Mr & Mrs A,Jackson doing 1841.5.
Club News.
It was seven up for Monty Buxton in Selston Club taking the first seven positions in his club and repeating the excellent performance in the fed.His first two pigeons were both blue hens doing 1901.9 & 1901.2 with his next two both blue cocks doing 1889.1 & 1888.5. with the next two both doing 1874.1,and his seventh doing 1873.8.Excellent flying Monty.

Mr & Mrs A Jackson get the winner in Woodhouse doing 1841.5 with their next pigeon doing 1825.2 taking third. In second & fourth were B & C Brelsford & Son with a blue cock doing 1827.9 and a cheq cock doing 1819.8.
In Railway Inn South Parry & Ellis take the red card with a blue cock doing 1822.3 with F & T Salt Brothers & Son taking the next three with a blue hen doing 1819.7 then two blue cocks both doing 1818.9.
T & H Garner & Morton get the red card in Park with a cheq cock doing 1790.2 with Broughton Geelan & Goodwin taking the next three with a blue pied hen doing 1788.2 followed by a cheq pied hen doing 1787.7 then a blue cock doing 1782.8.
R.Coope takes the first two positions in South Normanton doing 1780.7 & 1671.5.In third & fourth were J.Hendy doing 1477.0 & 1381.7.
Making a clean sweep in Swallownest was D.Trow with a blue cock taking the red card doing 1774.6 followed by a blue hen doing 1732.7 then a grizzle cock doing 1722.5 then a blue hen doing 1654.5.
In Storey Arms Abd Spiby took the top two positions with two blue cocks doing 1609.7 & 1609.0. In third with a blue hen doing 1291.7 was Jack Barker followed by K.J.Walker in fourth doing 1291.4 with a b/pied cock.
In Kilburn Club Keith Foulke made it a clean sweep his four hens taking the first four positions with two cheq hens doing 1772.1 & 1741.7 followed by a red hen doing 1702.1 then a dark hen doing 1699.6.
