WREXHAM FEDERATION
CHARLIE MILLWARD
END OF SEASON REPORT
Well, it's been a good season as far as races concern with only 2 Sunday races, but the weather has been iffy, + we have the hawk problem so I think that’s where the majority of lost pigeons have gone.
Old Bird Season: We went with the West Cheshire for the channel season and had very good racing, inland was good too, with many good birdages especially Frome where we had 2,200 birds. Another MASSIVE + is that we have had the new transporter that has been FANTASTIC! Being a real good engine and having no problems + the water facilty has been brilliant so THAT WAS A MASSIVE + TOO! So the old bird season was good.
Young Bird Season: Well, the Frome and Poole races were quite poor with heavy losses across the fed. Maybe we should stay South instead of going straight across the other side of the country maybe West Bay and Yeovil instead. We went with the West Cheshire Fed for the last race from West Bay and that was a superb race with most birds arriving home. All in all the Young bird season was good too.
So all I have to say is Bye For Now as this will probably be my last article of the year! But I will be putting articles on in 2012 so DON’T WORRY! Thanks & Bye For Now.
