Lanarkshire Fed moved on to Hexham

We moved quickly to Hexham in North East England for our second race of the season.The convoy of 6,500 and 13 Fauldhouse club crates were liberated at 09 50 hrs in a light west wind.The weather appeared to be dry on route but there was some heavy dark clouds at the home end.The winners made light work of the distance with the winners hitting central Scotland in under two hours for the 95 mile journey.A big percentage of the birds homed in the first hour but some fanciers lost some of their team.Reports of pigeon injuries due to raptors were reported, which is a sad part of the future in the sport.
Callum McMillan wins 1st ,2nd,4th 5th 6th section,1st,2nd Open -Brilliant flying
This weeks winners are Callum and Liz McMillan of Carluke club, who timed two crackers to win 1st,2nd Open Federation,their winners are Stefan Lambrechts from Ian Stafford and James Parker of JPS Lofts.
The winner was a check hen that was a winner as a youngster,then was injured early racing as a yearling and rewarded its owners with this fantastic performance .Well done Callum and Liz on a super performance.
Apology to Coalburn club for the poor management of their race birds this week by the federation.Hopefully you will forgive us and we will move on and learn from our mistakes!
