1940. Dave "Darn Good" Gent took 2nd/3rd club, his birds were doing 1937/1932. Then Alan "Pensioner"Neville netted the 4th club, doing 1898.

Out of B.L 14 members sent 311 birds to the race point. Lou Gough took 1st club, doing 2046. "Uncle"Albert Farrow took the following 2nd/3rd club. His birds were doing 2042/2032. B. Hobbs/Son took 4th club, doing 2026.

Out of "Welly" club 5 members sent 75 birds to the race point. Dave"DarnGood"Gent took 1st/2nd/3rd club places. His 1st was doing 1159, bred by Brian Lawrence. Dave's 2nd club was a fed winner on the North Road, doing 1145. His 3rd was his "grandson of Tyson", he was doing 1144. W.F.Line/Son/G.Son took 4th club, doing 1110. "Laurel & Hardy's" 4th club was a grizzle cock.
