JOURNEY’S END – NIPA RACE REPORTS – SECTIONS C, D, F, & G

BENAMORE HAS FANCIERS WANTING MORE

After a very successful season opener for the NIPA and its members, Fanciers quickly turn their attention to the next race. With more members sending and bigger birdage than before it would be the first race for many in what will be a busy few months ahead. This time round it was a journey abit further down the country to County Tipperary. On Saturday the 25^th of April. A total of 557 NIPA Members sent 17,728 Birds to Benamore in Co. Tipperary for the second Race of the NIPA Old Bird Season. The Birds were liberated at 11:15hrs in a Light Southeast Wind.

The Winning Bird from the second Old Bird Race of the 2026 NIPA Season belongs to D. Canning of Derry & District HPS in Section H.

SECTION C REPORT

The Winner of Section C (91/2,773) from Benamore was A&T Agnew of Ballyclare & District HPS Trevor takes the first 4 positions in his club from Benamore (393 Birds) and in the Section he wins 1^st, 3^rd, 4^th & 6^th positions (2,773 Birds) and finished 140^th and other prizes achieved in the top 300 in the NIPA Open (17,728 Birds). Trevor’s Section Winner is a 2 year old blue cock GB24 B 21875 and was bred from his own racing team. The dam was a previous winner from Roscrea.

SECTION D REPORT

The Winner of Section D (55/1,986) from Benamore was G. McEvoy of Beech Park Social HPS. Gregory won 1^st prize in the second race of the season in his Club (146 Birds) in the section had a brilliant result in winning 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd Section D from Benamore (1,986 Birds) and in the NIPA Open the three birds achieved 91^st, 148^th & 153^rd position (17,728 Birds) All three of Gregory’s were Herman Cuester based racing on the roundabout system. They originally came from Ernie Goodyear from Barnsley with add ons from Louella, Van Den Bulcks and Leo Hermans. And also brought in Hereman Cuesters from Tony Monglione who sold out on Elimar. He was from Liverpool and they were direct Eijerkamp stock. The Section Winner also made the open result from Kilbeggan week before.
